For everything, there is a season...

And this is my season of abundant blessings.  New job position, new love, new furniture, happy children and abundant peace.  Saturday I was finally able to get the couch my mom had bought me from an estate sale.  Two. Years. Ago.  (rolling eyes.)  The holdup was the flea-bitten, couch-destroying dog, as well as a lack of manpower to move this heavy sleeper sofa thing.  So, the dog's not gone, but he's soon to be going over to his "daddy's" house (whew!), accompanying the children when they return.  Now I just have to get rid of find a home for the little dog that's not really mine.

So, T and his son D accompany Charlie and me to get the couch loaded onto my uncle's trailer.  I was hopeful that the boys would be friendly, or at least courteous and be able to be in the same room, so that maybe their parents could hang out together occasionally.  These boys hit it off like long-lost friends, D ends up staying the afternoon and then the night.  In fact, I left them at my house this afternoon to go over to T's to watch the Reds game.  Came back about four hours later, and they're still relaxed and hanging out like they've done it all their lives.  Ah-mazing.

More and more it becomes apparent that God has had his hand in this all along.  His timing, his plan.  Just relax and accept, Tracy.  This is the season of abundance.
